For as long as I can remember, music has held a special place in my heart.
As a little girl, I fondly remember listening to Motown on scratchy vinyl records and dancing around the living room. We would even sing along to a few folk songs that my mom played on her acoustic guitar. In middle school, I learned to read sheet music and play the clarinet. High school was the age of mix tapes while college introduced me to country line dancing. I fell in love with Broadway musicals as a young adult living in New York.
Music is one of the good things in life. And it is so worth sharing.
So I am super excited to start a series on music that I’m calling 20 on 20. It’s a playlist of 20 songs that I’ll release on the 20th of each month. Every month will have a theme and you can listen here on the blog or on Spotify.
This month’s playlist features songs that make me feel happy, get up and dance or think I can actually sing! In short, they are songs I currently listen on repeat. It’s an eclectic mix that I think works well as background music while you’re cooking or something to entertain you in the car. Enjoy! — v.
