My babies are growing up so quickly.
My son turned four this year, started preschool and continues to amaze me every day with his spunky spark for life. Meanwhile, my sweet little baby girl turned two.
Some time while I was still busy planning the design of her new nursery, my baby girl grew into a toddler. She no longer requires a nursery; she’s ready for a big girl bed. She’s ready for potty training and doing more things independently. She has likes and dislikes of her own and is starting to express them. She is becoming an amazing little person.
One of her current likes is the movie, Frozen, so I threw her a Frozen-themed birthday party with a close group of family and friends to celebrate her second year of blessing our lives. I decorated with lots of snowflakes and used Frozen figurines for cake toppers. I served Japanese food for dinner — sukiyaki on the table, chicken yakitori and beef yakiniku on the grill — with steamed white rice and kimchee on the side. Vanilla birthday cake for dessert.
It was a sweet celebration for a sweet little girl who is growing up too quickly for this mama. Where has the time gone?!
Here is a little recap from her first birthday, too.
Much to her dismay, I dressed her up and attempted an in-home photo shoot to capture the special moment. #momphotographer
Happy birthday, sweet Baby-chan. We love you! — v.
