This Holiday Baked Brie may be my favorite of the 12 Baking Days of Christmas recipes. It is. Just. So. Good.
We are a cheese-loving family, so we’ll gladly gobble up a slice of cheese with or without a cracker. But this recipe takes Brie cheese to the next level with a delicious medley of flavors baked to an ooey-gooey perfection.
A crowd-pleasing appetizer (although it could be easily mistaken for a dessert) that is even easy to make.
And it is beautiful on your table with its golden-brown puff pastry… then, when you cut into it, the white of the Brie and red of the cranberries peeking through creates a festive and decadent display.
Serve with water crackers for a delightful crunch. Enjoy! — v.

Holiday Baked Brie
Ingredients
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry dough
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp orange juice
- 1/3 cup dried cranberries (craisins)
- 1/2 cup apricot preserves
- 1/4 cup toasted sliced almonds
- 1 (8 oz) Brie cheese
- Water crackers
Directions
- Step 1 Allow puff pastry sheet to thaw in package until pliable, about 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Step 2 In a small bowl, beat egg with 1 tsp water. Set aside.
- Step 3 In another small bowl, add dried cranberries and cover with orange juice. Allow cranberries to absorb flavor and soften in juice, about 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Step 4 Unfold pastry dough on parchment paper into a square. Cut off corners to make a circle. (You can use the extra dough to make decorative shapes for garnish.) Spread apricot preserves on pastry dough, leaving a 2-inch margin around the edge. Arrange cranberries evenly on top of preserves, then arrange almonds evenly on top of cranberries. Place Brie on top of almonds in center of dough.
- Step 5 Brush edges with egg wash and fold to center. Continue to brush egg wash on edges like glue and press together to completely seal Brie in the pastry. Place Brie seam side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Decorate the top with pastry cutouts and brush with remaining egg wash.

Step 6
Bake for 20 minutes. Allow to rest for at least 30 minutes before cutting or else you’ll have a runny (but equally delicious) mess. Enjoy with water crackers.

While I can hardly ever decide on any one thing as being my ‘favorite,’ this is one that I can make a definitive conclusion on every time. This fruit and cheese dessert is one my favorites that my darling bride creates.
Can’t wait to try it!!
